2002
Weather and Harvest Conditions
Auckland experienced a mild winter followed by a clear, warm spring. The summer was hot and dry. Temperatures were consistently high over the ripening period. The grapes were harvested a week earlier than ever before. It was the perfect year for growing grapes.

Tasting Notes
The 2002 presents the legendary Providence perfume at its best. Honey, vanilla, soft oak, florals and red berries. Slight spice hints at the wine’s youthfulness. Medium-ruby in colour. Vibrant red berry fruit greets the palate, turning into complexity and body, rounded out by dusty cocoa tannin on the finish. Old world elegance. The very essence of Providence. Will develop for a further 15+ years.
