2000
Weather and Harvest Conditions
The 2000 vintage was preceded by a cold, wet winter. Stormy weather during the flowering season resulted in a very low fruit set, culminating in a low yield. After this, the summer was perfect in regards to rainfall, sunlight and warmth. What fruit there was became incredibly concentrated in complexity, sugar and flavours. A stylistically similar year to the 1998 vintage.

Tasting Notes
Harmoniously exotic nose of perfume and vanilla. Medium ruby in colour. The palette presents fresh, vibrant, complex fruit balanced by delightful earthy tannins that give the wine fullness in the mouth. Chocolate and cinnamon contribute to a long, delicate finish. Gloriously harmonious in fruit and tannin with great finesse and clarity. Will develop gracefully for a further 10+ years.
